On March 14, the Cincinnati Bengals signed Benjamin Utecht, a 26-year-old American football tight end, to an offer sheet believed to be worth $9 million over three seasons. The Colts now have seven days to match the offer.
Utecht was originally signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2004, but became a restricted free agent in the 2008 offseason.
Utecht earned a Super Bowl ring with the Colts in Super Bowl XLI.
