Hundred police couples marry in Beijing thanks to Ministry of Public Security

Chinese Ministry of Public Security organizes a mass wedding for police couples.

At least 100 couples will take part in the ceremony at a ministry building in Beijing, the AP reports.

All of them met each other in the line of duty at stations around the country. Some of the couples came from very remote areas and could never even dream of such holiday.

Chinese marriage is a ceremonial ritual within Chinese societies that involve a marriage established by pre-arrangement between families. Within Chinese culture, romantic love was allowed, and monogamy was the norm for most ordinary citizens.
