TURKEY DECIDES ON WHOSE HELICOPTERS BETTER

In the course of the talks held by the Russian delegation headed by Premier Mikhail Kasyanov in Turkey, Russia has lowered the price for KA 50-2 helicopters, says Alexei Ogaryov, Director General of the state-owned Rosvooruzhenie company. In his words, Russia suggests to supply the helicopters to Turkey partly as the repayment of Russia’s debt. Here, $300mn.is implied, while the total helicopter supplies to Turkey are assessed at $2bn, Interfax news agency reports. Mr. Ogaryov insists that the Russian offer is currently better that that of our competitors, American company Bell.
