The leadership of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) believes that the economy of Russia demonstrates very good indices. First deputy executive director of the IMF Anne Krueger spoke about it in the interview she gave to RIA Novosti in Davos.
According to her, Russia ahead of time makes payments to the International Monetary Fund on the earlier received credits. The Fund positively reacts to this fact.
Anne Krueger described the relations between the IMF and Russia as very good. The Russian side shows a very high level of cooperation with the IMF in the course of the consultations during which the further joint programs are being discussed, said she.
According to the IMF first deputy executive director, she does not plan so far to visit Russia. As to the visits by IMF experts to Moscow to familiarize themselves with the macroeconomic and other indices of the Russian economy, they will be carried out this year in the same way as to other countries in accordance with the existing schedule, said Anne Krueger.
