Vladimir Putin Issues Decree to Hold Year of Kazakhstan in Russia in 2003

Russian President Vladimir Putin issued a decree to hold the Year of Kazakhstan in Russia in 2003, the President's press-service disclosed to a RIA Novosti correspondent.

"The decree was signed for the further development of the Russo-Kazakh relations and expansion of bilateral connections," the press-service noted.

The President ordered to form an organizational committee for the coordination of activities of Federal executive bodies and Russian regional executive bodies for the holding of the Year of Kazakhstan in Russia.
