Sanitary and epidemiological situation in the natural calamity area in southern Russia is under control

On Saturday at a meeting in the Kremlin, Minister of Health Yuri Shevchenko stated that the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the Krasnodar territory, southern Russia, in the natural calamity area was under control. According to him, during the last days only 73 people asked for medical assistance at medical posts.

The head of the Health Ministry further added that special attention had been devoted to looking after the health of children. He stressed that practically all children "were feeling well, there were no sick children." The minister reported that medical personnel was put on the round-the-clock duty mode at stations in crowded places in order to prevent spread of infections.
