Dozens of police officers blocked the way to the presidential administration
Opposition leaders in Ukraine are leading crowds of people to the building of the presidential administration in Ukraine. This is another attempt of the Ukrainian opposition to hand over the resolution of the September 16th meeting to Leonid Kuchma, the president of the country. The mentioned resolution basically contains the requirement of Kuchma’s resignation.
The meeting of the Ukrainian opposition took place before a demonstration in front of the Ukrainian parliament. Viktor Yushenko, the leader of the bloc “Our Ukraine,” stated that his faction is not going to participate in the parliamentary activities on Friday. Yushenko said that this will be a protest of his faction against the fact that the agenda of today’s parliamentary session did not include the question concerning the political situation in Ukraine.
More than six thousands protesters approached the building of the presidential administration. They met ten rows of police armed with batons and guns. A group of people’s deputies separated from the crowd and headed for the premises, but the police did not allow them to advance. The number of protesters is growing every minute. The people are becoming very excited, and some of them are very aggressive.
