Special forces blew up part of school gym ceiling

Special force units entered the building of the school in Beslan seized by the terrorist. To do this, they exploded a part of the gym ceiling.

"People continued running out of the school building, and special force units entered the building at the moment", said the representative of the Operative Staff in an Interfax interview.

Several employees of Russian Ministry on Emergencies got the bullets of the terrorists when they tried to take children out of the building of the seized school, said Minister on Emergencies Sergey Shoigu. He said that after the terrorists agreed to release the hostages, several employees of the Ministry on Emergencies entered the school. At that moment, two explosions happened in the remote part of the building. The hostages ran out of the school, the mulitants started desultory fire on the hostages, said the Minister.

At that moment the employees of the Ministry on Emergencies got the bullets of the terrorists while trying to save people, said Sergey Shoigu.

Reuters reported that 158 victims of the terrorist act had been placed in the town hospitals.
