Rolls-Royce PLC, the world's second-largest maker of aircraft engines, said Tuesday that the Australian Department of Defence has ordered 34 engines for its MRH90 multi-role helicopters.
Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
The transaction brings the total number of RTM322 engines ordered by Australia to 92, Rolls-Royce said in a statement, reports AP.
"The RTM322 is now firmly established as the engine of choice" for the NH90 family of helicopters, the company said.
