Of Dutch ancestry, I am a former resident of the Republic of South Africa.
Having left there in the 1990's, while working in my field of finance, I travelled the globe. Doing so brought me inclose contact with many diverse peoples as well as having known the riches of experiencing their unique cultures.
As with many ex-Pats, I miss home. RSA offers opportunities to enjoy the vast expanse of the great outdoors, whichis Africa, like no other continent. For hobbies, I list, hunting, fishing and wildlife viewing. These days, the latter I doso much more than the former. I also have a penchant for writing - although on a pastime basis - whenever themood strikes. Satire and travel interest me most; politics, not really.
