In Moscow a crowd of furious football fans started to crash the windows of the State Duma building.
A RIA Novosti correspondent reports from the scene that a group of alcohol-heated fans attacked police officers near the Parliament, leaving several of them wounded. A few cars are burning near the Moskva hotel.
Additional OMON (special purpose police unit) detachments are being transferred to the scene of disorders, which started after the Japanese national team scored a goal into Russia's gate at the World Football Cup.
The police are ready to use arms to calm down the enraged football fans in the capital's center. Police and OMON officers are armed with pistols and automatic weapons.
Ambulance brigades and fire crews are approaching the scene. Meanwhile, the furious fans are crashing everything on their way.
The State Duma building, the Hall of Columns of the House of Trade Unions and the entrance to the Okhotny Ryad metro station suffered most, as well as shops and organizations whose facades look on the street. A police car is burning in the Bolshaya Dmitrovka Street.
