An exhibition of Russian icons of the 16th-17th centuries from the collection of the Tretyakov Gallery has opened in Barcelona. The exposition which features 52 icons has opened in La Pedrera, one of Barcelona's most famous buildings, which is an architectural site of Catalonian Modernism. Spanish amateurs of painting will for the first time examine the works by Russian icon-painters of the schools of Moscow, Novgorod, Tver, Yaroslavl and Pskov.
