The pro-presidential election block "For New Georgia" leads the country's parliamentary elections, according to the results of 84 election precincts.
Georgia's Central Election Commission told RIA Novosti that the bloc, currently in first place, collected 30 percent of the votes. The "National Movement" opposition bloc and the opposition Labor Party collected 15 percent and 14 percent respectively. The "Revival" opposition party, with six percent of the votes, is in fourth place.
The Central Election Commission reported that the "National Movement" bloc leads in the Lanchkhutsky, Borzhomi, Kazbek, Tskhaltuba, Akhaltsikhsky and Ozurgetsky election districts.
At 3:30 a.m., Moscow time, a Tbilisi suburb lost power, making it difficult to tally votes.
Observers and representatives of the opposition fear that this incident may be used to falsify election results.
The Central Election Commission invalidated elections in 17 of the 2,811 precincts because of procedure and law violations.
