The leaders of the Norman Quartet for the resolution of the Ukrainian crisis have agreed to deploy an armed police mission in the Donbass.
The leaders of the Norman Quartet (Germany, Russia, France and Ukraine) had a telephone conversation, in which it was decided to deploy an armed OSCE mission in the Donbass region.
Russian President Vladimir Putin conducted the telephone conversation with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
According to the press service of the Ukrainian president, the participants of the telephone conversation agreed that one needs strong de-escalation and complete cease-fire for the continuation of the political dialogue.
The participants of the talks also highlighted the need to fully implement the Minsk agreements, including the establishment of a secure environment to hold local elections in the Donbass on the basis of the Ukrainian legislation and OSCE ODIHR standards.
