The Association of Russian Advertisers does not believe that the situationwith a ban on beer commercials is dramatic. President of the AssociationVadim Zhelnin said in an interview with RosBusinessConsulting: "I amconvinced that the Russian Ministry for Antimonopoly Policy issued a pressrelease about the ban on Klinskoye beer advertisements not to applypressure on the producer, but to make the advertising community aware ofthe things that are allowed in advertisements and things that are not". ThePresident of the Association also reported antimonopoly ministries aroundthe world started around 10,000 investigations into the violations ofadvertising laws every year. Commenting on the current law 'OnAdvertising', Zhelnin pointed out that "there are a number of articles inthe law which, according to the Russian advertising community, need to becorrected. But all these corrections are only nominal. In fact, it'simpossible to regulate creativity by applying legal methods". .
