A bloody drama in St. Petersburg metro
A policeman was killed at St.Petersburg’s underground railway station Ulitsa Dybenko earlier today. At about noon, an unidentified man stabbed a policeman who was intending to check his documents. The assailant managed to get hold of the wounded policeman's pistol. He then seized a hostage and wounded another policeman who had rushed to aid his bleeding colleague. The assailant tried first to escape, but finally shot himself. The stabbed policeman is reported to have died. An investigation into the incident has started.
