Russian President Vladimir Putin and Japanese Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori spoke on the telephone on Tuesday, the presidential press service reported. Earlier, Mori had agreed to meet with Putin in Irkutsk on March 25 and 26, as the Russian side is proposing, the press service said. Sources in the Japanese Embassy have told Interfax that the telephone conversation between Mori and Putin, during which "both leaders came to terms on the date and place of their future meeting" began at 1 p.m., Moscow time, and lasted for "about 20 minutes", Interfax reports.
