The Federal State Unitary Enterprise Rosoboronexport, which routinely handles Russia's arms exports abroad, has signed a series of military-technical cooperation agreements with Brazil's Aviabras Industria Aeroespacial, one of the largest players in the country's military industrial complex. Rosoboronexport's press service Monday told RIA Novosti that the two companies have struck a deal on imports and exports of defense products as part of Brazilian President Fernando Henrique Cardoso's tour across Russia. "The deal reached between the two companies and fixed in the agreements is designed to advance the cooperation in the military-technical domain and will contribute to forging ever closer trade and economic ties between Russia and Brazil," Rosoboronexport's spokespeople said in a statement.
