A series of terrorist attacks were to be perpetrated in Uzbekistan on Monday. A terrorist blew himself up when trying to plant a bomb in the Romitansky district of the Bukhara region. The terrorist is being identified, law-enforcers reported.
According to the source, another terrorist and his accomplice have been detained in another district of Uzbekistan.
The only terrorist attack that did not fail took place in Tashkent, where an explosive device went off near the popular market Chorsu at the entrance to the Detsky Mir (Children's World) shop.
According to initial reports, two people have been killed and about six wounded.
The explosion in Tashkent was perpetrated by a female suicide bomber, an Uzbek police officer, speaking on the condition of anonymity, told RIA Novosti at the site.
