More than 150 cases of food poisoning have been registered in three regions of Russia. RIA Novosti learned this alarming news from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. The cause of all the poisonings is the same -- elementary non-observance of rules of hygiene when the food was cooked or, in other words, dirt, that is customary and trite in Russia. In the past week altogether 136 people were hospitalized.
Mass poisonings were also registered in the village of Orlovka, the Krasnoyarsk Territory, mostly among children and teen-agers staying in a health-building camp. Fifty-eight Turkish citizens who worked at the construction site of the Novomoskovakaya hotel in Astrakhan were taken to hospital with signs of food poisoning.
More than 50 graduates of Volgograd schools were hospitalized with food poisoning after the school-leaving ball. As many as 52 leavers of grammar school No.9 and school No.56 applied to medical institutions complaining of pains in the stomach and vomiting.
Medical workers connect the mass poisonings with the poor quality of products served at the school-leaving parties.
