Igor Ivanov, Russia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, has warned against hasty steps which might destroy current mechanisms of international security. When commenting on the statement of American President George Bush regarding the anti-missile defense problem, the Russian minister said Friday that "in such a delicate area as security one must not take hasty measures and destroy things already working in the interests of international stability especially providing for no guarantees that the new mechanisms will be working better".
