Moscow Corporate Party Ends in Emergency After Man Drinks Liquid Nitrogen Cocktail

A guest at a New Year corporate party in Moscow suffered a ruptured stomach after drinking a cocktail prepared with liquid nitrogen at the culinary studio Game of Tables.

According to Baza Telegram channel, a chef organized a cryogenic cocktail show for guests, using liquid nitrogen to instantly freeze ingredients. This substance is commonly applied in culinary performances but is considered safe only after complete evaporation.

The channel claims that the studio employee failed to warn participants about the danger and offered one guest to drink the mixture immediately after pouring.

Footage published by Baza shows a man holding a paper cup into which a steaming liquid is poured from a thick-walled container. When the guest asks what to do next, a voice off camera tells him to drink it.

"Nice working with you,” the man says before drinking the cocktail.

Immediately afterward, he chokes, clutches his stomach, and bends over in visible pain.

The victim's stomach ruptured almost instantly. Emergency services transported him to intensive care, where surgeons sutured the damaged organ.

The man has since regained consciousness, although doctors have not disclosed the severity of his condition.

This is not the first such case. In February, a similar accident occurred during a corporate event at a culinary studio in St Petersburg. A 23-year-old woman drank soda containing liquid nitrogen and suffered an esophageal burn.

Medical experts warn that ingesting liquid nitrogen before evaporation can cause severe internal injuries due to rapid expansion and extreme cold.
