Thousands of demonstrators marched along the streets of every settlement of the Tula region (the Central Russia). On the bright sunny day over 5,000 people gathered together to march and take part in a rally - the largest May Day demonstration in the last five years. The majority of the demonstrators marched under the slogans of the Communist Party and trade unions. The local branch of the Unity Party also took part in the demonstration for the first time, marching in a separate column. The resolution of the rally contains chiefly demands to uphold the rights of employees, and to prevent mass poverty and plummeting prices.
