The 7th All-Russia fair of honey and products of apiculture opened on Wednesday, November 6th, at the Moscow Central Manege Exhibition Hall (near the Kremlin).
Taking part in the fair are 330 of the best bee-keepers from 49 regions of Russia who have brought to the fair over 50 varieties of high-quality honey. More than 3,000 melliferous plants grow in Russia and that is why the variety and value of Russian honey are truly unique, say experts.
In Russia honey production may reach 1 million tons annually in the near future. Apart from honey and products of apiculture, the visitors of the fair are offered literature on how to use them for medical purposes. Those who want to can get the advice of apitherapists.
