At the 14th Russian Kinotavr Film Festival, which will be held from June 3 to 17 in Sochi, a Black Sea resort, sixteen films will be shown, including "Carmen" by Alexander Khvan, "A Little Lord" by Ivan Popov, "About Love" by Sergei Solovyev and "The Caucasian Roulette" by Fyodor Popov.
The premiere of a new film by Alexander Sokurov "Pere et Fils," which has received the FIPRESCI prize at the latest festival in Cannes, will be a real event at the festival in Sochi. The jury of the Russian festival will be headed by famous film director and producer Valery Todorovsky.
Apart from the main contest, the festival will present the Panorama of the films which do not have a chance to take part in the main contest and which make their debut. The jury will award two prizes: "For the Best Entertainment Film" and "The First Pancake." At the jubilee 10th international festival in the context of the Kinotavr there will be shown fifteen films, including "Alla Alskar Alice" (Sweden), "At Kende Sandheden" (Denmark), "Hikkle" (Hungary) and "Un Mondo d'Amore" (Italy). The chairman of the jury of the iternational festival will be well-known Ukrainian actor Bogdan Stupka.
