President Putin on significance of Constitution for development of economy and democracy in Russia

President Vladimir Putin has highlighted the role of the Constitution in the development of the economy and democracy in Russia.

Speaking on Friday at a Kremlin meeting with judges of the Constitutional Court of Russia, the head of state said in particular that the judges "remember the circumstances in which the Constitution was adopted and the role it played in stabilizing the situation in the country if only to a condition from which it could kick off in its development, as today."
