The Progress-Garant insurance company insured the property of the YUKOS Oil Company. The co-insurer is the Zurich-Rus insurance company. The total premium liability under the 12-month insurance contract is $100m. YUKOS has insured its headquarters building at 31a, Dubininskaya Street in Moscow, the interior decoration of the office, communications, furniture, gadgets, office appliances, and electronic equipment. YUKOS's office building has been insured against all risks, which suggests premium payments in the event of destroying or damaging the insured property due to sudden and unforeseeable direct physical damage or destruction incurred to the insured property during the insurance term for any reason.
YUKOS spokesperson Alexander Shadrin stated: "The insurance of the headquarters is connected with the actions of the General Prosecutor's Office as well as with the rain on August 13 in Moscow. YUKOS has insured all its property - workshops, equipment, offices, etc. Now the time has come for its headquarters." As head of Progress-Garant's press service Olga Astrova said, "the events around YUKOS did not influence the amount of the premium", Kommersant Daily reported.
