Only 10% of Russians regularly do some kind of sport according to a recent survey carried out by the ROMIR Monitoring agency. 14% do sport occasionally while 13% said they seldom do sport. This was announced to a Rosbalt correspondent by the ROMIR Monitoring press office. More than anything else Russians enjoy jogging (24%). Football is the second most popular form of exercise (16%) and swimming the third most popular (14%). Other popular sports are volleyball, tennis and skiing. Two thirds of respondents (63%) said they do not do any kind of sport.
1500 Russian adults took part in the survey.
