YUKOS and Sibneft ask Antimonopoly Ministry to approve merger

The Russian Antimonopoly Ministry has received an application from YUKOS and Sibneft asking to approve their merger. This application will be considered in accordance with current legislation and the ministry will release its conclusion on this deal, sources in the ministry told RBC.

The ministry will take into account the fact that YUKOS and Sibneft dominate on the market of oil products in a number of regions. It is not ruled out the monitoring of opinions of other participants of the market will be carried out.
