KamAZ releases financial results

According to the Russian accounting standards, net loss of KamAZ amounted to 335.472m rubles ($10.8m) in the period from January to April 2003, against 535.069m rubles ($17.2m) of net loss in the corresponding period of last year, the company said in its report. Sales revenues were up 37 percent to 7.556bn rubles ($243m). Sales income was 310.529m rubles ($10.02m).

The automobile manufacturer produced and sold products worth 6.82bn rubles ($220m) in the reported period, which was 33.7 percent higher than in the first four months of 2002. In particular, in the period from January to April 2002 some 6,780 trucks (a 27.2-percent advance), 189 buses and 12,100 Oka cars were sold.
