President Vladimir Putin has shown British rock legend Paul McCartney around the Kremlin.
After their meeting in the Kremlin's Fireplace Hall, Vladimir Putin took his quest on a tour of the Kremlin sights.
The tour started at the Armoury, with President Putin giving personal comments on the history of this centuries-old facility. From there, they proceeded to the Grand Kremlin Palace, then to the Tsar Cannon and further to Cathedral Square. A Kremlin guide told McCartney about the history and architecture of the latter.
The sightseers on a tour around the Kremlin this Saturday warmly greeted Vladimir Putin and Paul McCartney. There were many schoolchildren among the tourists and they were delighted to recognise the ex-Beatle.
At the end of the tour Russian President wished Paul McCartney good-bye in English.
The ex-Beatle left Cathedral Square in a limousine which took him to the stage set up in Red Square near the famous St Basil Cathedral. On Saturday, Paul McCartney is giving his only concert in Moscow there.
