Editor-in-Chief of the Ekho Moskvy (“Moscow Echo”) radio Alexei Venediktov told journalists on Tuesday that his radio station may share the fate of the other media groups of the Media-MOST holding company: the newspaper Segodnya and the magazine Itogi. At the moment, nothing threatens the radio station, as Gazprom has a 25% stake in it, Media-MOST-38% and the journalists-33%, Interfax cites Venediktov as saying. "But in three months, the 25% of the shares put up as collateral for the $262 million credit from the U.S. bank, CS First Boston, may be handed over to Gazprom and the radio station will then follow in the footsteps of the magazine Itogi and the newspaper Segodnya," said Venediktov.
