Pizza – world patrimony??

The Italian government is to propose to UNESCO that the famous pizza be declared as world patrimony. The Italian Minister of Agriculture declared that he is going to propose to UNESCO that his country’s pizza are to be declared “Oral and immaterial patrimony of humanity”. The point is that he wants to safeguard the Italian method of making pizza, so to register this with UNESCO will give added value to the Italian pizza over other copies. The Italian Minister of Agriculture takes a stand against the proliferation of agricultural produce which is merely copies of Italian products, such as pizza, pasta and smoked meats.Maybe Russia could consider applying for a world patrimony status for Borshch, Shchi and Bliny!
