Cuba and Belarus have signed an agreement on cooperation over certification. The agreement was signed during a session of the two countries' joint commission on trade and economic cooperation. The Belarussian Foreign Ministry yesterday informed Rosbalt that the commission has paid particular attention to the issue of 'optimizing the work of the joint Belarussian-Cuban sugar refining plant Belatinsakhar.' Belarus also handed over for Cuban approval draft agreements on cooperation in healthcare, sport, and the press, as well as a package of proposals by Belarussian companies and organisations for establishing cooperation in the agricultural machinery industry, medicine production, and treatment programmes for Chernobyl victims.
