Itera will fully execute its obligations concerning gas supplies to Georgia, the press secretary of the company told RosBusinessConsulting commenting on today's incident on a gas pipeline in North Ossetia. Gas supplies will be increased to provide the agreed volume after the pipeline is repaired.
Gazprom has refused to comment on the situation.
Georgia and Itera signed a contract on Russian gas supplies on January 13, 2003. The company is to supply about 1bn cubic meters at about $32 for every 1,000 cubic meters.
