Four activists of illegal armed groups have been detained in Chechnya over the past 24 hours, the republic's interior ministry told RIA Novosti Monday.
The terrorists were seized in an operation, which was conducted by the operational and search bureau of the Southern Federal District of the Russian Interior Ministry along with the Chechen police.
Basuyev and Yusupov, who were carrying 2 Kalashnikov submachine guns, were detained in Chechnya's Gudermes district.
Abdulkhadzhiyev, who had been on a wanted list, was arrested in Nozhai-Yurt during a document check. Khasayev was arrested at Kurchaloi. Law enforcers searched them and found 4 grenades.
