Events surrounding the seizure by terrorists of a hotel in Istanbul have confirmed once again the correctness of Russia's position that terrorism does not recognise nationalities or borders, said Russia's Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov, speaking to journalists on Monday. According to him, these developments confirmed once again that "the human factor is no obstacle to terrorists." "Unfortunately," the Russian premier stated, "terrorism keeps expanding." Kasyanov expressed hope that Turkish authorities take appropriate measures. He also emphasised the need for joint international efforts to address the problems of terrorism.
