Three persons have died in a severe earthquake in Tajikistan. The Russian federal emergencies ministry's press service reported on 51 people who were injured in the quake, with three of them having received grave injuries. In the town of Rogun, 100 km off Dushanbe, the disaster destroyed 52 houses leaving over 500 residents homeless. The quake's magnitude in the epicentre, which was located 240 km east off Dushanbe, was 7.5. Among other victims to the quake, which began at 9.45 Moscow time, are a few kishlaks, or Tajik villages, according to the emergencies ministry.
