In London, police arrested six people suspected of human trafficking. Four of the arrested individuals are Russian citizens. The criminal group controlled a network of brothels, in which law-enforcement officers found nine women from Russia, Bulgaria and Latvia. The women were brought to Britain as sex slaves. A 44-year-old female native of Russia was the leader of the criminal group. The police found 60,000 pounds sterling in cash in the perpetrators' office.
All abductees were taken to a specialized center, where they will receive psychological assistance.
