Sandell Asset Management to appoint Sybase directors

By Margarita Snegireva. Sybase Inc.'s second-largest shareholder, which wants the software maker to consider selling itself, said Friday it plans to nominate three candidates to the board at its 2008 annual meeting.

Sandell Asset Management Corp. plans to nominate Sandell Managing Director Nick Graziano, Yale Law School Professor and Deputy Dean Jonathan Macey and John S. McFarlane, interim president and chief executive of chip maker Exar Corp.
