Those responsible for the dire situation in Libya today sitting in their offices in Europe or on the campaign trail in the USA - we are talking about the FUKUS Axis (France, UK, US), should not only hang their heads in shame but prepare themselves for due legal process as war criminals. Once Africa's most prosperous nation, Libya lives a daily nightmare of chaos five years on.
Under Muammar al-Qathafi's Jamahiriya system of Government, in which local communities which respected local tribal realities informed the Government's representatives of what they wanted, Libya rose from the poorest nation on Earth, a backward Italian colonial outpost, to the country with the highest Human Development Index in Africa.
Branded a dictator by the rulers of the FUKUS Axis, who have turned their own healthcare and education systems into businesses, al-Qathafi not only paid for his people's education both at home and abroad and underwrote healthcare treatment, he also housed them, gave them a car and a wedding present, guaranteed them food and a job. And apart from this he was the motor behind the African Union design, finding African solutions to African problems, solutions made by Africans for Africans, making sure African resources funded African projects. He funded the African satellite project, freeing African nations from paying hundreds of millions of dollars to western companies, and providing an e-learning and telemedicine program for the African continent.
His crime? Planning the introduction of a new African currency which would seriously affect the western banking lobby, and other plans for a reallocation of the share of profits from the exploitation of resources, which would have depleted the takings of the energy, weapons, pharmaceutical, economic and food lobbies.
Into action swung the dynamic duo Obama and Hillary, the Batman and Catwoman of international affairs, complete with their willing bedpals Cameron and William Hague - Robin and the Riddler - and the sickening wannabe Napoleon: Sarkozy, the Joker. Holed up in Benghazi since 2010, the entire Libyan escapade was planned from beginning to end by the FUKUS Axis which committed war crimes, breached the Geneva Conventions and broke international law.
See this indictment against NATO.
And as the most development country in Africa was turned into the paragon of chaos it is today, five years later, the perpetrators of this outrage act as if nothing had happened. Hillary Clinton, whose arrogance and insolence was epitomized by her behavior on learning that Muammar al-Qathafi had been murdered, is dancing on the campaign trail across the United States of America, and in the UK and France, Libya is all but forgotten after these countries cavorted with terrorists on the very lists of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office's proscribed groups.
What will happen to those responsible? Are they above the law? Is this what the United States of America, the UK and France stand for? Are these their core values? Their armed forces can waltz into a country, strafe civilian structures, steal its sovereign fund, take its resources, destroy its society, side with terrorists, interfere in the internal affairs of a sovereign state, murder civilians and take part in the wanton and wholesale destruction of a society and get off Scot free?
Today Libya stands destitute. It has two Governments, multiple factions fighting each other, skyrocketing unemployment, the social system in many areas has collapsed and the UN appeal for humanitarian aid two months after it was launched is funded to the tune of a staggering 1% - one per cent. I repeat, ONE per cent.
Where Libyans once lived side-by-side, happy, educated, housed and fed, today they struggle to put a loaf of bread on the table, if they survive the trip to the bakery without their breasts or head being sliced off by marauding terrorists. The once proud nation which financed itself and funded projects for others is now lying in the gutter, cap-in-hand begging for hand-outs which the callous perpetrators of this evil do not even have the honor or decency to give. Nice one Hillary, David and Nicolas! I bet you all feel proud.
And I bet you do, too.
