Kim Jong-un announces plans for more nuclear tests

North Korea's Kim Jong-un announced plans for another test of nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles. According to the DPRK leader, the tests are to be conducted in the near future already.

"To improve the reliability of a nuclear strike, the tests of a nuclear warhead and the launch of a ballistic missile capable of carrying a nuclear warhead will be conducted in the nearest future," RIA Novosti quoted a statement from the leader of North Korea.

Kim Jong-un stated that North Korea had to conduct more tests to assess the destructive power of new nuclear warheads, AFP reports with reference to local media.

"The DPRK must be prepared to attack enemy with nuclear weapons on the ground, in the air, at sea and under the water by diversifying the delivery of nuclear weapons," Kim Jong-un said.

Despite warnings from the international community, North Korea conducted nuclear tests and launched a carrier rocket with a satellite in violation of the UN resolution. Russia, China and other countries strongly condemned Pyongyang's actions.
