The forthcoming election of the Krasnoyarsk Territory (Siberia) Governor will be "maximally transparent", Russia's Central Election Commission Head Alexander Veshnyakov announced.
For the first time in Russia during a big-scale election campaign all the poll data will be sent to the Internet not by the territorial election commission, but by polling stations, Veshnyakov informed journalists on Friday.
During vote-counting each member of the commission has a right to have a look at any ticket extracted from the ballot-box. The same right will be given to observers, representing all the 15 candidates for governorship, and journalists.
"Open vote-counting will prevent gossip and insinuations, concerning the election procedure," Veshnyakov pointed out.
