Russians are financially secured, at last

Last year, “for the first time ever, income of the Russian population is fully ensured due to the overall increase in productivity,” stated Russia's President Vladimir Putin in the course of today's meeting with Kremlin’s representatives.

According to the President, “this positive position of our economy has to be preserved.”

Putin also mentioned that it is important to keep the inflation level down. “This year's main goal is to keep the mark no higher than 10%. Itis still quite high, indeed. However, taking into account all of the parameters for the past several years, this appears to be the most objective mark that can in fact be achieved,” remarked the President.

While talking about the overall economic development in the country, Vladimir Putin stated that he intends to double the country's GDP in 10 years. “Today, it appears rather clear that this goal can surely be attained,” said the President.
