An earthquake shook Central California on Sunday morning east of San Simeon, 200 miles (320 kilometers) northwest of Los Angeles. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
The magnitude-4.4 temblor hit at 6:48 a.m. (0148 GMT Monday), according to a preliminary report from the U.S. Geological Survey. It was followed by several magnitude of magnitude-3.0 and above, AP reports.
