Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov reported that the European Union intended to open its representative office in the North Caucasus.
According to the minister, the location of the representative office was not chosen yet.
Ivanov stated, "They want to open their representative office in Ingushetia (western neighbor of the Chechen republic), we, on the contrary, are of the opinion that the center to organize activities to rehabilitate Chechnya should be transferred to the republic itself."
