On Saturday Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov will have a meeting with the United States' Secretary of State Colin Powell.
Agreement on the meeting was reached earlier, Alexander Yakovenko, official spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, told journalists.
In line with the established practice, the heads of the Russian and the United States' foreign policy establishments will consider a wide range of international problems, including the situation in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as a series of other questions, said Alexander Yakovenko.
"With account for the upcoming summit-level contacts, they will also discuss prospects for the further development of Russian-American relations," said the diplomat.
