Thirty organisations and enterprises of Russia's defence sector will represent 500 items of their production at the 7th international maritime and aerospace exhibition Lima-2003.
The exhibition will open on Tuesday, September 30, at the Langkawi island, Malaysia. It is considered to be a major exhibition in the Asia-Pacific region and is held under the aegis of the Malaysian Defence Ministry twice a year.
Russia's exhibition at Lima-2003 is organised by Rosoboronexport.
Russia's pavilion will have about 300 items of aviation and maritime equipment and armaments, and over 200 items of civil and dual purpose on display as posters and advertising materials, Rosoboronexport deputy director general Viktor Komardin told RIA Novosti before the exhibition.
Russia's exhibition will represent various aviation equipment, including nearly entire export range of Sukhoi aircraft, with the Su-30MK multipurpose fighter among them.
The contract to deliver 18 aircraft of the type for the Malaysian Air Force was signed in August 2003 during Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Malaysia, the Rosoboronexport spokesman recalled.
The exhibition will last into October 5th.
