Pyongyang's new demand not to affect plans of hexalateral talks

North Korea's demand of signing a non-aggression treaty with the USA will not affect the plans of holding hexalateral talks on the North Korean problems, South Korean First Deputy Foreign Minister Kim Je-sop announced in Moscow today.

He arrived in Moscow to hold consultations with the Russian Foreign Ministry's leadership devoted to the talks on the North Korean nuclear problem that involve representatives of Pyongyang, Seoul, Washington, Moscow, Beijing and Tokyo and are scheduled for the end of August.

North Korea demanded that an effective non-aggression treaty should be signed with the USA and the US Administration should give up its "hostile policy" towards Pyongyang. It is the only way to resolve the current nuclear crisis on the Korean Peninsula, a representative of the North Korean Foreign Ministry announced on Wednesday.
