German company Daimler-Chrysler believes that the Urals region is attractive for investment, said the company's Director of Public Relations Josef Shleicher in a meeting with Perm Mayor Ardaky Kamenev and representatives of the company.
The Perm mayor's press service told Rosbalt that the sides discussed the question of creating a base at the Perm State Technical University (PSTU) for regional dealer's training for the company and perspectives of internships in Germany for PSTU students studying the major of automobiles. Kamenev said that the city will support the German company in deciding these questions.
This is already the second visit to Perm by representatives of the company. During the course of their first visit on June 5 they signed an agreement on international cooperation in the area of education, joint participation in scientific work, exchange of information, and development of personnel potential between the PSTU science council and Daimler-Chrysler. Yesterday Shleicher said that he was satisfied with the first results of the cooperation.
